… started trading as Fancy That over fifteen years ago when she opened a tea room in which she started hosting special Caribbean Evenings. These proved to be very popular and when the tea room in East Budleigh closed she decided to concentrate on selling Caribbean food at markets, food fairs and festivals. She has also catered for weddings, christenings, funerals, birthdays and other special occasions.
Janice is very passionate about the food she cooks and works with local produce bought from local farmers. Janice’s recipes are based on family recipes and the food is all hand made from fresh ingredients. The menu is made with love, ensuring excellent quality and amazing flavours. The food is carefully cooked resulting in meat that melts in the mouth. Janice’s culinary skills are not restricted to meat cookery; she excels at vegetarian and vegan dishes and can also cater for special diets such as celiac and diabetic.
